The 3M™ Dual Lock™ Reclosable Fastening System SJ3870 features a modified acrylic adhesive on the back of a black polypropylene reclosable fastening system. Our product can be used in a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications, is thin (mated thickness of 6.1 mm), and offers long service life.

Our outstanding 3M™ Dual Lock™ Reclosable Fastening System SJ3870 can be opened and closed repeatedly, up to 1000 times before losing 50% of its original strength, making it ideal for frequent openings, closings, or repositioning. The mushroom-shaped stems slide easily over one another, allowing parts to be positioned before snapping into place to create a firm hold. Once engaged, the systems remain hidden from view and provide a smooth surface that helps create a clean appearance. The polyolefin system with a Type 250 stem density mates with Types 170, 250, or 400, giving users the ability to adjust closure strength depending on the application.

Recommended applications include general industry, specialty vehicles, transportation, military use, packaging, medical applications, point-of-sale displays, exhibitions, electronics, construction, furniture, and maintenance and repair operations.

This system features a modified acrylic adhesive that bonds to a wide variety of plastics (polyethylene, acrylic, polycarbonate, and ABS), powder-coated paints, and medium- and low-surface-energy materials with little or no surface preparation.
