They feature height, front, and rear adjustment along with an easy-to-turn 4-point ratchet suspension that gently tightens the headband as needed. The harness includes the exclusive and patented 3M™ Pressure Diffusion Technology, which not only provides a secure fit but also reduces forehead pressure by up to 20% compared to conventional 3M helmet harnesses—offering enhanced comfort. The visorless design provides an unobstructed upward view, allowing better awareness of your surroundings and helping avoid hazards. X5500 Series helmets feature exclusive 3M™ UVicator™ sensors that change from red to white when exposed to harmful levels of UV radiation. Since UV exposure can make helmet shells brittle and compromise protection, a color change signals it’s time to replace the helmet.
