The 3M™ Protective Coverall 4530 is treated with a special material that provides flame-retardant (FR) properties. This allows it to be worn over garments rated FR Index 2 or 3, offering enhanced protection against chemical splashes and hazardous dust, while extending the lifespan of the reusable garment by reducing the need for frequent washing. Certified as Category III for protection against hazardous dust, Type 5/6 splashes, and anti-static properties according to EN 1149.

Use the 3M™ Protective Coverall 4530 for protection against dirt, splashes, and toxic dust, including nuclear particles. It complies with various standards for chemical protective clothing, including EN 1149 for anti-static properties, EN 1073-2 for resistance to radioactive particles, EN ISO 13688, EN 13034 for Type 6 liquid splashes, and EN ISO 13982-1 for Type 5 airborne solid particles. The blue coverall can be easily identified by its white triangle, made from the same 54 g/m² SMMS material. This protective coverall features a specialized treatment applied to the material only (not the components), providing flame spread resistance in accordance with ISO 14116 Index 1. This means the disposable coverall can be used with an FR Index 2/3 garment for improved performance against certain chemical splashes and hazardous dust while extending the lifespan of reusable garments by minimizing the need for washing. The 3M™ Protective Coverall 4530 is soft, breathable, yet strong and durable, with a weight of 54 g/m². It is made of SMMS, consisting of a spunbond layer on the inside and outside and two layers of meltblown material in the middle. The spunbond material offers softness, strength, and splash protection, while the meltblown layers create an intricate multi-layer network of microfibers that filter dry particles. The soft, breathable, and lightweight nonwoven material facilitates the release of body heat and moisture, enhancing comfort during prolonged use and improving workplace productivity.
