3M™ Safety-Walk™ Anti-Slip Tapes and Strips Series 300 have been certified by the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) in the USA for providing "high traction." NFSI chose a static coefficient of friction (SCOF) higher than 0.60 as the criterion for "high traction" because, according to NFSI, floor surfaces that maintain this level of slip resistance when wet have been shown to reduce slip-and-fall claims by 50% to 90%.
