3M™ Safety-Walk™ Non-Slip Tapes and Strips Series 300 have been certified by the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) in the USA for providing "high traction." NFSI selected a wet static coefficient of friction (SCOF) greater than 0.60 as the standard for "high traction" because, according to NFSI, floor surfaces that maintain this level of slip resistance when wet have been shown to reduce slip and fall claims by 50% to 90%.
