The absorbent roll is used to cover large spills or as a precautionary measure in areas where large leaks may occur.

Hydrocarbon absorbents are innovative, highly effective products with greater absorption power than traditional ones. Being hydrophobic, they are suitable for absorbing hydrocarbons in areas where water may also be present. They do not disintegrate or sink when saturated with oil, allowing them to be easily recovered and discarded. They absorb 10 to 15 times their weight, depending on the model, and the High Capacity series absorbs 15 to 20 times their weight.

3M™ Hydrocarbon Absorbent Rolls are designed to cover large areas and can be easily cut to fit tight curves. They can also be used to cover large spills or as a precaution in areas where large leaks may happen. Being hydrophobic (water-repellent), they are ideal for absorbing oil in areas where water may also be present.
